Metro’s Siemens Electric Multiple Unit trains were delivered from December 2002 to January 2006. These trains operate in three-car sets, with a trailer in between two motor cars, and now always run with two sets combined to form a six-car train. They operate on the Pakenham, Cranbourne, Frankston, Williamstown, Werribee, Sunbury, Craigieburn and Upfield lines, with maintenance undertaken at Newport depot.
