Qube Logistics ordered twelve QE Class locomotives to support their expanding freight services. They were built by Progress Rail in the United States using the GT46C-ACe model that has been used by numerous other freight operators in Australia for their locomotive fleets. Commencing service in 2024, they are the newest locomotives in operation with Qube Logistics.
