The Millennium trains operate as four-car sets, with a driving trailer car at each end and two non-driving motor cars in the middle. Two sets are combined to form an eight-car train. The driving trailer cars are also power cars and each has a pantograph. They typically operate on the Airport & East Hills, Bankstown, Cumberland, Inner West, Olympic Park and South lines. The Millennium trains are maintained at Eveleigh (near Redfern).
