The C2 Class trams were obtained second-hand from the city of Mulhouse in France, and initially retained the yellow livery of their French operator until 2014, gaining the nickname Bumblebees. They are completely low-floor vehicles. The C2 Class trams are allocated to Southbank depot and are used on Route 96 between East Brunswick and St Kilda.
