The 88 Class were built in China using German engines. They are similar in appearance to the GT42CU-AC model in service as the 4000 Class with Aurizon and the PN Class with Pacific National. The interior cab layout was designed in consultation with Pacific National locomotive crews. They are used for coal haulage on Queensland’s Goonyella system.
