The 6020 Class are similar to the earlier 6000 Class, but are slightly more powerful. Nine members of the class entered service in 2012. They operate in the Hunter Valley of New South Wales after some service in Western Australia. The 6020 Class units are a type of the C44aci production model of locomotive, which is owned by various railway companies throughout Australia.
